*** About The Lions: Known as The Lions, these twin peaks are long-standing icons of Vancouver, British Columbia, visible from much of the Greater Vancouver area. Forming part of the North Shore Mountain range, these peaks were named after the Lions Gate, a pair of Mountain peaks that resemble the figures guarding the entrance to the Stanley Park. Often shrouded in lore and the mists of coastal weather, they epitomize the rugged wilderness that lies just beyond the city’s bustling urban environment. Besides being a favored subject of photographers and artists, The Lions also serve as a popular hiking destination, offering spectacular views of Howe Sound and the surrounding areas.
