*** About The Lions: Positioned prominently in the North Shore Mountains, The Lions are one of the most recognizable natural landmarks visible from nearly all of Vancouver, BC. Comprising two peaks, West Lion and East Lion, these mountains are named after the twin peaks' supposed resemblance to the lions of the Assyrian sculptures. Historically, they hold significant spiritual value for the indigenous Squamish people, known locally as Ch'ich'iyúy Elxwíkn.
